At its cheese heart, FROMAGE is a licensed Fromagerie so you can dine down in our hidden speakeasy, or take us home for a decadent night in your hotel room, office or home.
FROMAGE is our flagship that celebrates our mission to rebrand the way this city thinks of cheese and to create spaces and events that celebrate late night conversations around amazing produce.
Located in the basement of the old WA Club, FROMAGE is all about creating decadent and delicious things from artisan cheeses that includes paired flights of seasonally selected cheeses with incredible liquors from around the world, shared cheeseboards, tapas style dishes, charcuterie and locally produced accompaniments. Drawing on our old club roots, we offer a range of late night cocktails, wines and cheeselovers favourite fortifieds that our staff can pair with your dish for the ultimate moment of cheese heaven.
Explore our locked up gold bank vault that hides our walk-in fully refrigerated and insulated cheese room. Here you can stand round table and count your gold treasures, try a range of different cheeses (vault aged to perfection) and then take away a basket full of your favourite cheese and liquor delights.
We have set a new standard in climate controlled Fromageries and an elevated storage temperature to enhance the quality of the cheese tastings and the overall consumer experience.
From the moment you find your way through the foyer and down the stairs to our hidden door, a new food adventure will be apparent. The space is designed to be decadent and delightful, showcasing the work of artisans of all kinds from the amazing installation of artist Abdul Rahman Abdullah for our Festival Fromage 2016 and City of Perth’s Cow Parade – we call our photographic icon “Vacherousse” – to hand crafted cheese boards and plates created by local artisans, right through to the amazing artisan cheeses themselves.
The vaults are an unexpected and unusual destination, a place of food magic and alchemy so come with an open mind and an empty tummy and stay with us until the cheese coma descends.
